Colorado's David Ketterer continued his absolute dominance on the slopes on Thursday at Western Region Open FIS Thursday at Sun Valley Resort in Idaho. He won the men's giant slalom on Thursday, and it wasn't even close.
He had the fastest runs on both the first and second times down the hill; his first run time of 1:07.52 was over two seconds faster than any of the other 104 racers. His two-run total time of 2:17.20 was three seconds faster than the second-place finisher, Martin Grasic of Utah, who finished in 2:20.20.
Ketterer has now won 14 of the 31 races he has competed in this winter when combining all of his NCAA, NorAm Cup and FIS competition races like this one Thursday (11 wins have been in the slalom, three in the giant slalom).
