CU Skier Bobby Moyer Reflects on Bob Beattie’s Legacy

Moyer, an Aspen native, shares his memories of how Bob Beattie created a path for him to achieve his skiing dreams

BOULDER – The Colorado Buffaloes and the skiing community lost one of its founding fathers when Bob Beattie passed away Sunday night at his son's home in western Colorado.

Colorado sophomore alpine skier Bobby Moyer had a special connection with Beattie and his legacy. Moyer grew up in Aspen, the same town that Beattie called his home for much of his life, and started skiing in the Aspen Valley Ski Club at the age of four, a program founded by Beattie.
