SALT LAKE CITY — It followed a familiar and painful script for the Colorado Buffaloes.
Firmly in control with under eight minutes remaining and their best road win well within sight, the CU men's basketball team collapsed down the stretch Saturday night at Utah, suffering a 57-55 defeat against the No. 13-ranked Utes.
CU used a 16-0 run in the middle of the second half to surge to a 45-31 lead with 7 minutes, 24 seconds remaining. But the Utes immediately responded with a 19-0 run of their own, pulling ahead by five with 2:27 to play.
