The Colorado women's lacrosse team is making an early statement in the Pac-12 Conference's weekly honors.
Just three weeks into the Pac-12's first year as a women's lacrosse league, and the Buffaloes already have received their second Offensive Player of the Week honor. On Monday senior attacker Darby Kiernan received the award following her standout performance in CU's 17-12 win against San Diego State in its home opener Sunday.
Junior midfielder Miranda Stinson won the very first Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week award two weeks ago.
Kiernan recorded a season-high five goals in the victory over the Aztecs, which included one free-position goal and two unassisted goals.
