Bill Brundige, one of the greatest players in Colorado football history, died on Saturday, at the age of 70, after a long fight with cancer.
Brundige, who passed away at his home in Knoxville, Tenn., played defensive line at CU from 1967-69 and was inducted into the CU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2016.
A graduate of Haxtun High School, Brundige ranks 10th in CU history in career quarterback sacks, with 19. He still holds CU records for tackles for loss in a season (24 in 1969) and sacks in one game (five, vs. Alabama in the Liberty Bowl on Dec.
