Colorado's Peanut Tuitele was named Pac-12 women's basketball freshman of the week on Monday.
A 6-foot-1 forward from Chico, Calif., Tuitele got her first career starts last week and averaged 16.5 points and 5.0 rebounds in the Buffaloes' two games.
Tuitele scored 18 points and had six rebounds in an 80-65 win against Pepperdine, and then had 15 points and four rebounds in Sunday's loss to Miami.
Tuitele is the fourth CU player to earn freshman of the week honors since the Buffaloes joined the conference in 2011. Arielle Roberson was honored five times in 2012-13, Kennedy Leonard once during the 2015-16 season and Annika Jank three times last year.
