Colorado tight ends haven't been a big factor in the passing game in the first two seasons under coach Mike MacIntyre and his staff, but that could be about to change.
CU tight ends combined for 18 catches and one touchdown last season and 19 receptions the year before. At least part of the reason the tight end position has been so underutilized under MacIntyre was a serious lack of depth at the position when this staff was hired.
Depth is no longer a problem and several of the recruits from the past two classes are ready to make a mark at tight end in the CU offense this fall.
