Running back Patrick Carr is leaving the Colorado football team and returning closer to his home in Texas.
Carr, a sophomore from The Woodlands, Texas, completed CU's summer school session on Friday and asked for a transfer.
"Patrick is a fine young man who needs to move closer to home back in Texas for family reasons," CU head coach Mike MacIntyre said in a quote provided by CU. "We enjoyed having him in the program and wish him and his family the best."
As a true freshman last season, Carr was fourth on the team with 272 rushing yards on 66 carries.
