It has been fun watching the Colorado defense play in recent years if you've been a fan of the opposition.
It actually might be a thrill for the Buffs faithful for a change this fall.
Seeing an obvious need for dramatic improvement on that side of the ball, coach Mike MacIntyre made changes to his defensive coaching staff in the offseason, bringing veteran defensive coordinator Jim Leavitt to Boulder to rethink and reshape the Buffs' approach and Joe Tumpkin to coach the safeties.
Leavitt is known for an aggressive approach. He helped transform Kansas State from one of the worst defenses in the nation in the early 1990s to the best by the 1995 season.
