Ever since Mike MacIntyre became the head coach of the Colorado football team he's been able to lean on a tough, gritty kid in a No. 13 jersey.
On Saturday, MacIntyre won't have quarterback Sefo Liufau by his side.
Liufau, who suffered a Lisfranc injury to his left foot during the Buffs' 27-24 loss to Southern California on Friday, is out for the season and is set to have surgery in the next few days. Liufau will not travel with the Buffs (4-7, 1-6 Pac-12) to their game at Washington State (7-3, 5-2) on Saturday.
"I thought about that this morning," MacIntyre said.
