CU football: Josh Tupou suspended for 2015 season

The Colorado football team has lost the anchor to its defensive line.

On Friday, CU associate athletic director David Plati confirmed that Josh Tupou has been suspended for the entire 2015 season.

Plati said that student privacy laws prevent CU from providing any specifics into Tupou's suspension.

It's possible that the suspension is related to an incident in February, when Tupou was accused of starting a brawl on University Hill. Tupou was arrested in March on suspicion of second-degree assault, two counts of third-degree assault, criminal mischief, trespassing and reckless endangerment.

On April 17, the case against Tupou was dismissed by Boulder prosecutors.
