Coming out of high school two years ago, Drew Lewis never envisioned himself wearing a Colorado uniform.
He actually pictured himself trying to beat the Buffaloes.
Life took a different turn for Lewis, however, and on Wednesday, the 6-foot-2, 225-pound linebacker from Sammamish, Wash., is planning to sign a letter of intent to continue his football career in Boulder.
"I'm really excited," said Lewis, who picked CU over Memphis and Utah State. "It was definitely a good decision."
Lewis graduated from Eastlake (Wash.) High School in 2014 and signed with Washington. He redshirted in 2014, but last July, he was dismissed for a violation of team rules.
