Same old Buffs?
Maybe not.
Colorado responded to a lackluster opener by routing Massachusetts, 48-14, on Saturday at Folsom Field.
Criticized all week for their performance in a 28-20 loss to Hawaii on Sept. 3, the Buffs (1-1) turned their home opener into a laugher while snapping their nine-game losing streak.
Almost from the start, the Buffs were intent on pounding the ball on the ground, and wound up compiling 390 rushing yards, their highest single-game total since gaining 427 yards at Kansas on Oct. 19, 2002.
Junior Michael Adkins II led the way with 119 yards and a touchdown, one of five rushing touchdowns on the day for the Buffs.
