CU football: Adkins aims to break away from injuries

Every time Michael Adkins II started to get rolling last year, something got in his way.

The Colorado running back had a trying season in 2014, as he was in and out of the lineup with injuries.

With the 2015 season opener just around the corner, the junior is ready to put that behind him and make this a better year.

"I'm feeling good," he said. "The knee feels good and I'm ready to go for the season."

Adkins finished with 398 yards in 2014 and was part of four CU running backs who finished between 391 and 448 yards.
