The Colorado women's basketball team has received a verbal commitment from one of the top young players in the state.
Kindyll Wetta, a 5-foot-9 sophomore at Valor Christian, announced on Twitter on Wednesday that she has committed to CU for the class of 2021.
Wetta's mother, Val (Johnson) Wetta, played for CU for two seasons in the mid-90s after starring at Doherty High School.
This season, Wetta has been hampered by an injury, but has averaged 18.6 points, 6.1 steals, 4.1 assists and 3.7 rebounds in seven games.
In 19 career varsity games at Valor, Wetta has averaged 15.
