The Colorado women's golf team posted the best team score in the final round Tuesday, propelling the Buffaloes to a third-place finish at the Silverado Showdown at the Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa, Calif.
Playing in one of their most challenging fields this season, the Buffs improved each round as their final scorecard was 290-287-283-860. The Buffaloes' 54-hole score of 860 moves up to the third best in school history.
CU was only one of three teams to finish the tournament under par at 4-under 860. Tuesday's third place finish marks the first time since the 2010-11 season that the Buffs finished in the top-5 top for five straight tournaments.
