Colorado and new head football coach Mel Tucker are close to hiring three quality control coaches.
Bryan Cook (defense), William Peagler (offense) and Reed Heim (special teams) are slated to work as the directors of quality control for the Buffaloes.
In working with the defense, Cook will be reunited with new CU defensive coordinator Tyson Summers. In 2017, when Summers was head coach at Georgia Southern, he hired Cook as offensive coordinator.
Cook has spent the past six seasons in the state of Georgia. He was quarterbacks and B-backs coach at Georgia Tech from 2013-16 before moving to Georgia Southern in 2017.
