At Colorado’s pro day earlier this month, Tim Lynott Jr. was trying his best to get one more repetition on the 225-pound bench press.
“I was trying to hit 30,” he said. “I just messed up on the first couple; the back was coming off and I had too much push into it. It kind of messed me up later on, but still pretty happy with 29. I was hoping for 30-plus.”
One rep short of his goal on the bench wasn’t enough to discourage him, though.
Lynott may not be considered one of CU’s top prospects going into next month’s NFL Draft, but he might prove to be a valuable asset for a team needing versatility up front.
