The Karl Dorrell Era of CU football got off to a late start in 2020. And Dorrell’s first season will now be getting off to an even later one.
The CU Buffs’ football season will reportedly be postponed from fall 2020 to spring 2021, according to multiple reports.
As expected, the Pac-12 CEO group — chancellors and presidents — reportedly voted Tuesday to cancel the fall football season due to continued concerns over the coronavirus pandemic. An official announcement is expected at 2:30 p.m.
The Pac-12’s decision falls in tandem with its longest Power 5 conference partner, the Big Ten, whose chief administrators also voted Tuesday to move football out of the autumn.
