The Colorado football program officially announced Thursday that Ashley Ambrose has been hired to coach the Buffaloes' cornerbacks.
Head coach Mike MacIntyre also announced that ShaDon Brown will coach safeties and has been named the defensive passing game coordinator. Brown was hired last year to coach the secondary.
Ambrose, 47, who played 13 years in the NFL, has spent the past two seasons coaching the defensive backs at Boise State. This will be his second stint at CU, as he worked under then-head coach Dan Hawkins from 2008-10.
"We're really excited about Ashley Ambrose coming to the University of Colorado; he brings great expertise for our corners that he'll be coaching," MacIntyre said in a press release.
