If not for a series of coaching changes that ultimately altered the course of his recruitment, Colorado point guard McKinley Wright would have been a member of the Dayton Flyers.
Next year, Wright will get a change to face Dayton.
On Tuesday, CU announced that coach Tad Boyle's men's basketball program will travel to Chicago to face Dayton at the United Center on Dec. 21, 2019. The game will be part of the Chicago Legends doubleheader, with Iowa taking on Cincinnati in the event's other game.
Wright originally was committed to Dayton, but when former coach Archie Miller left the program to take the head coach job at Indiana, Wright re-opened his recruiting and eventually landed in Boulder.
