As far as the Colorado Buffaloes are concerned, the state's basketball bragging rights have returned home.
Shaking off a cold-shooting first half, the Buffs came alive before holding on down the stretch for an 86-80 win against the rival Colorado State Rams Saturday afternoon at the CU Events Center.
The victory ended a run of two straight losses and three in four games for the Buffs against CSU. CU also had lost its previous two home games against the Rams.
CU looked as if it would pull away down the stretch, but a 10-0 run by CSU gave the visiting Rams a 75-74 lead with two and a half minutes remaining.
