BOULDER — Khalil Tate did it again.
And again.
And again.
Tate, Arizona’s senior quarterback, threw for 404 yards and three touchdowns to sink the Buffs for a third straight season as a starting quarterback — and for the second straight time at Folsom Field, as CU fell 35-30 before the season’s second home sellout crowd.
The Wildcats’ senior signal-caller was a game-time decision after a hamstring injury that caused him to miss Arizona’s win over UCLA the weekend prior. If he was feeling any ill-effects, he rarely showed it.
The California native had infamously came off the bench in Boulder in October 2017 and had his breakout party, completing 12 of 13 throws and rushing for 327 yards while accounting for five touchdowns on the day in a UA win.
