On Sunday, the former Auburn defensive lineman committed to Colorado as a graduate transfer, hoping to enroll in time for the spring semester.
"I'm just glad to have an opportunity to come to Colorado," said Johnson, who graduated from Auburn last month. "It's my last opportunity to play D-I ball and it's where I want to be."
Johnson was one of two additions to CU's 2019 recruiting class on Sunday, as Daniel (D.J.) Oats, an athlete from Grace Prep School in Arlington, Tex., also committed to the Buffs.
CU signed 17 players during the early signing period in December.
