Big-time college football is starting to split more than ever along lines that mirror the country’s political factions, especially where the coronavirus is concerned. Which is why CU Buffs athletic director Rick George on Wednesday renewed his desire for a national football czar, a unifying voice for the sport, during a conference call with reporters.
“Somehow, we’ve got to get football together nationally,” said George, who’s in his seventh year as the AD at CU and played college football at Illinois.
