LITTLETON — In the O’Brien family, the green and gold of Colorado State are worn with pride. It’s the school where the parents of Columbine basketball standout Luke O’Brien met and where older sister Emma currently attends college.
But when it came time to choose his own path, the 6-foot-7, 183-pound shooting guard opted to forgo family tradition and sign with Colorado.
“My sister gives me the hardest time for it,” said O’Brien, who will suit up for the Buffs next fall. “But I think my parents know I made the best basketball decision.”
