On Tuesday, as CU basketball senior Tory Miller-Stewart spoke publicly for the first time since suffering a season-ending broken foot after just six games, he admitted even almost two months later there remains a certain level of frustration at having his senior season wiped away.
Yet with the entire CU athletics department getting touched by tragedy earlier this week, Miller-Stewart also expressed the understanding that his problems are trivial compared to what his friends on the Colorado women's lacrosse are dealing with.
On Monday, the university announced senior attacker Julia Sarcona was killed over the weekend in a one-car accident on Boulder Canyon Road.
