The da Silva family endured a harrowing moment at the CU Events Center this past winter when Stanford’s star forward, Oscar da Silva, suffered a frightening head injury that led to a stirring moment of sportsmanship shared by both squads.
Oscar da Silva, fortunately, made a quick recovery, and now his family will have a chance to covet far more favorable memories at the Events Center.
As the spring signing period began on Wednesday, coach Tad Boyle’s Colorado basketball program landed Tristan da Silva, Oscar’s younger brother and a 6-foot-8 forward out of Germany. Da Silva rounded out a class that also includes 2020 forward Jabari Walker out of Arizona and Tulsa transfer Jeriah Horne, also a forward who is the first immediately-eligible graduate transfer to join Boyle’s program.
