CSU Rams basketball sticking together through investigation, seven-game skid

COLORADO SPRINGS — Steve Barnes made the comment as a joke, but like most things that make us laugh, the message was backed by truth.

“Invest in aspirin’s stock right now,” he said.

Makes sense. Because the Colorado State men’s basketball program has essentially endured a three-week headache that only got worse on Tuesday night. And when Air Force defeated the Rams 78-73, it was Barnes, CSU’s interim head coach, who was often pacing the sideline with his fingerprints pressed against his temples. As for his players?

“They’re feeling exactly how they’re supposed to feel,” Barnes said.
