Colorado Buffaloes tight end Brady Russell suffered a leg injury in the first quarter vs. Stanford on Saturday.
Russell was met on the field by CU’s training staff and appeared to be in serious pain. The 6-foot-3, 255-pound tight end was helped to the sidelines by two teammates and refused to put weight onto his right leg.
According to BuffZone writer Brian Howell, Russell was taken into the medical tent with his right shoe off. His foot/ankle was taped and he was back on the sideline, but later took his helmet off, signaling he wouldn’t return.
