BOULDER – The University of Colorado track and field program opened the 2022 outdoor season here Friday with the first day of field events at the 2022 Jerry Quiller Classic.

Williams, who competed unattached in the weight throw during indoors, picked up right where he left off last season with a winning toss of 60.56 meters (199-0) in the men's hammer. He won the meet by more than three meters and was just two feet from his personal best which is already good for third in CU history.
