BOULDER – The Colorado soccer team improved to 5-0-0 on the season with a 2-0 win over Austin Peay on Thursday. The game was delayed 70 minutes because of lightning in the area before finally getting cleared to play.
The match was in danger of not getting played. School officials and both head coaches had serious talks about postponing the contest until Friday. There was a window of opportunity to start the game and the lightning cleared out once play got underway.
The pace of play was slow and inconsistent when the teams finally did return to the field.
