STANFORD, Calif. — Colorado's last-ditch rally came up short here Sunday, as the Buffaloes dropped a 72-64 decision to Stanford at Maples Pavilion.
The Buffs' third straight loss — their longest losing streak of the season — dropped CU to 21-9 overall and 10-7 in Pac-12 play. Stanford improved to 20-9, 9-7.
The Buffs trailed by as much as 15 in the first half and again in the second half before cutting the deficit to just three, 65-62, with 3:46 still to play. But that was as close as CU could come, as the Buffs went cold again down the stretch and the Cardinal pulled away.
