TUCSON – The University of Colorado women's tennis team rallied back from a 3-1 deficit to defeat the University of Arizona, 4-3, here Friday afternoon.
With the win Colorado (9-7, 2-1 Pac-12) improves to 2-1 in the Pac-12 and have the best conference start since 2010. This also marks the first time in program history that Colorado has won back-to-back Pac-12 matches and it is just the second Pac-12 road win for the Buffaloes.
"I am so proud of the team for today," said head coach Danielle Steinberg. "This is our first outdoor match, after not getting much outdoor practice time, but our heart and fight was there in full force, and that made the difference at the end.
