Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Sefo Liufau suffered a Lisfranc injury in yesterday’s loss to USC and will undergo surgery that will keep him out for the next six to eight months. As a result, Liufau will not be able to participate in spring practices.
For those unaware, a Lisfranc injury or fracture occurs when bones in the middle of the foot are broken and separated from the tarsus, or main center of the foot bones.
Buffs coach Mike MacIntyre offered more to the press.
“You really care for him,” Colorado head coach Mike MacIntyre said after the game.
