BOULDER – The University of Colorado women's tennis team jumped out to an early lead after taking the doubles point and held on to win 4-3 over the visiting Arizona Wildcats. It was the first time since the 2008-09 season that the Buffaloes won its conference opener when CU beat Oklahoma, 4-3, in its first Big 12 match of the season. The win improved CU's record to 8-2 overall and 1-0 in the Pac-12 and the loss dropped UA to 8-6 overall and 0-1 in the Pac-12.
"It's exciting," said head coach . "Today, we had two teams out there just really battling and it wasn't under the best circumstances.
