Sometimes, you just need a safety to instill fear over the middle of the field. Sometimes, you need a Michael Lewis or Tedric Thompson to lay the law down and destroy receivers. Karl Dorrell and the Colorado Buffaloes recognized that need, and went and signed Trevor Woods to fill that need.
Woods hails from Katy, Texas, a relative hotbed of talent. At 6’1 and 200 pounds, he is plenty big to play safety and play right away at safety. In high school, all he did was make big plays. He had plenty of pick sixes his junior and senior years, and he also stacks up plenty against the run.
