A spokesperson for Colorado denied a rumor that head coach Deion Sanders asked the Buffaloes' band to hold back from playing the school's fight song following touchdowns from Shedeur Sanders.
"This is not true," the spokesperson said (h/t ESPN's Kyle Bonagura). "Nobody ever asked the band to refrain from playing the fight song."
Jake Shapiro of denversports.com reported on Saturday that Sanders allegedly told the band that they couldn't perform if his son scored so that the loudspeaker could play his own song, "Perfect Timing."
