Following months of regional camps and competitions around the nation, the 2018 Elite 11 quarterback finalists were named on Monday. Colorado Buffaloes commit Ty Evans was among twenty-four quarterbacks invited to compete in yesterday’s finals held at Union High School in Southern California, making the cut for the Class of 2019’s list of the top twelve passers.
The 6’2”, 185-pound pro-style prospect from Palmer Ridge High School (Monument, Colo.) is regarded as the top overall player in the state of Colorado after throwing for 3,627 yards and 42 touchdowns as a junior last season. Evans decided to commit to CU in early January and since then has received offers from other “Power 5” schools including Michigan, Arizona State, Ole Miss and defending national champions Alabama.
