LAS VEGAS — The Colorado Buffaloes took care of business.
Dominating all facets of the game while avoiding the late-game letdowns that often has plagued the club at critical moments, CU posted an 80-56 win against Washington State on Wednesday in the first round of the Pac-12 Conference Tournament.
The fifth-seeded Buffs (22-10) will take on No. 4 Arizona in the second quarterfinal Thursday at 3:40 p.m. MST.
Washington State took brief leads in the early moments but otherwise it was all CU. George King, who led the way with 21 points, scored seven during a 9-0 run that gave the Buffs control midway through the first half.
