Colorado Buffaloes Recruiting: Buffs add a Texas QB to 2020 class

Mel Tucker did not accept a commitment from a quarterback in the 2019 class. After Mike MacIntyre was fired, local legend Ty Evans went elsewhere (NC State), and the market available in January was not up to Tucker’s standards. Skipping a quarterback in a recruiting year usually puts an emphasis on the next, because it’s hard to miss two years in a row at QB and be successful.

Luckily, that won’t be the case. The Colorado Buffaloes have aimed high and struck gold with Brendon Lewis. Symbolically, he’s everything you want in a Buffalo QB. He’s from a pipeline state (Texas, to be exact), he has amazing stats (50 total TD over 2 years with just 5 turnovers), and has some great offers to his name (TCU, Missouri, and North Texas were in it until the end).
