PULLMAN, wash. — Pac-12 opponents keep getting credit for beating the Colorado Buffaloes.
It continues to be Colorado, however, that gets in the way of the Buffaloes.
A night filled with errors led to a 27-3 loss to No. 24 Washington State at Martin Stadium on Saturday.
CU's very thin bowl hopes finally died with the loss, which dropped them to 4-8 and 1-7 in the Pac-12.
Washington State (8-4, 6-2) wasn't dominant, but it was more than happy to capitalize on CU's ineptitude.
Redshirt freshman Cade Apsay made his first career start at quarterback for the Buffs, and while he threw for 238 yards, he was also picked off twice and failed to get CU to the end zone.
