Colorado Buffaloes punter and co-captain Alex Kinney left Saturday’s game against Nebraska with a broken collarbone and is likely out for the year according to Buffzone.com writer Brian Howell.
With the Buffaloes leading 14-7 late in the 1stquarter, Kinney suffered the injury while trying to make a tackle on a punt return. After the Buffaloes offense went three-and-out on their first drive of the 2ndquarter, backup kicker/punter Davis Price, a former walk-on, was in to punt and Kinney was seen on the sideline without his pads on.
”He’s a phenomenal kid,” CU head coach Mike MacIntyre told Buffzone.
