The Colorado men's basketball team has reason to feel safe with the announcement of NCAA Tournament bids coming Sunday.
The Buffs are 21-10, and no major-conference team with an RPI as high as theirs (29) has ever missed the tournament. ESPN calls CU "a lock" to the make the field, and CBS Sports and USA Today have predicted the Buffs as a seventh and an eighth seed, respectively.
But feeling safe about a bid and confident it can leave a mark once the postseason begins are two different things, and the Buffs have work to do on the latter.
