LAS VEGAS – Colorado women's tennis program opened the 2021 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Mountain Regional Championships with a pair of doubles wins and four singles win in the first day of action here Wednesday.
Caroline Pozo and Antonia Balzert opened things up with an 8-5 win over Gina Dittmann and Annabel Davis of Northern Arizona. They will be joined in the second round of the doubles tournament by Megan Forster and Mila Stanojevic who defeated Melissa Huchet and Andrea Redondo of Idaho 8-4.
Betina Tokac and Ellen Puzak teamed up but fell to BYU's Emilee Astle and Kara Lin by a score of 8-3, while Maria Campos and Ky Ecton dropped their match to a tandem from CSU 8-2.
