With 1:06 left in Saturday’s game over Nebraska, Colorado co-offensive coordinator Darrin Chiaverini called the play that Buffaloes fans won’t soon forget.

“I told Coach (Kurt) Roper to tell Steven if they go closed middle, look that free safety off and throw that ball for a touchdown,” said co-offensive coordinator Darrin Chiaverini, who called the play from the press box. “That safety was doubling Laviska and Steven brought his eyes to the boundary and moved the safety just enough.
