BERKELEY, Calif. — Cal has been one of the poorest-shooting teams in Pac-12 Conference play. You wouldn’t know it with how the Golden Bears manage to light up Colorado.
Unlike the teams’ previous matchup, the Buffs were unable to overcome Cal’s hot shooting touch on Thursday night, as the Bears handed No. 21 CU a 76-62 defeat at Haas Pavilion that may have shut the door on the struggling Buffs’ chances of winning the Pac-12 regular season championship.
Cal had lost five of its previous six games but shot 14-for-28 in the first half, including a 6-for-10 mark on 3-pointers.
