FAIRBANKS, Alaska – In what is believed to be the closest meet standings in 46 seasons, the Colorado Buffaloes Ski team used five top seven finishes, including podiums from Hanna Abrahamsson and Will Koch, to successfully come back and win the Alaska Fairbanks Nanooks Invitational crown here Wednesday evening at Birch Hill.
The Buffs entered the day just 14.5 points behind the Utes and outscored them by 16 points to win the meet 340.5-339. The 1.5 point differential is the closest known meet since the 1976 NCAA Championship when Colorado and Dartmouth tied for the NCAA Championship.
