Buffs’ White Hits 2,000-Point Career Plateau In Loss To Rams

Box Score BOULDER – Colorado senior Derrick White reached 2,000 career points Wednesday night in the Buffaloes' 72-58 loss over rival Colorado State at the Coors Events Center.

He hit the career mark in the first half after being fouled on a layup and sinking a free throw for the three-point play. During his three seasons at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs (2012-2015) he scored 1,912 points.

Entering Wednesday night's game he was six points shy of 2,000. His game-best 17 against CSU gives him 2,013.

White, a 6-5 guard from Parker, said hitting the 2,000-point plateau wasn't his night's goal: "I really don't care about the individual stuff.
