LAS VEGAS — Colorado carved out a 21-point first half lead, then withstood a furious Oregon State rally in the second half Thursday to collect a 73-58 win over the Beavers in the Pac-12 tournament quarterfinals at T-Mobile Arena.
Now 21-11, the Buffs next face regular season champ and top-seed Washington in Friday's 7 p.m. semifinal matchup.
For the first 20 minutes Thursday, the game was no contest as the Buffs dominated OSU on both ends of the floor, leading by as much as 21 and taking a 37-18 lead into intermission.
But the Buffs went cold after half and Oregon State got hot.
